How are things going there today? I hope that all is well and that you had an absolutely fabulous weekend this past weekend.
I found another good quote that I think you will like:
“He who conquers others is strong; He who conquers himself is mighty.” – Lao Tzu
What do you think about that quote? Personally, I love that quote. Why? Because that quote speaks to focusing on the internal rather than the external. In the long run, focusing on the internal will yield greater progress in life than focusing on the external. If we stop and think about it for a moment, which do we have greater control over at any particular time? My opinion is that we have greater control over the internal. We are much more able to affect a change in ourselves than we are to affect the change in others.
If we stop and think about it for any length of time, it is clear that it is challenging for us to master our own emotions, desires, thoughts, and actions. For us to make progress and to lead to the best possible life, we should work on ourselves first to become the best person that we can possibly be.
