Top Of The Morning To You Son,
Let’s follow up our great weekend with a great start for the week. How about we tell ourselves, “This is going to be an amazing day!”
If we tell ourselves that it is going to be an amazing day, will we always have an amazing day? That’s a good question. First, I suppose we have two choices:
1 – Already decide that it’s going to be an amazing day, regardless of what happens.
2 – Decide on our own personal definition of an amazing day.
If your definition of an amazing day is that every single thing is going to go smoothly, then there is always that possibility that everything is not going to go smoothly. If you have already decided that the day absolutely, positively is going to be amazing regardless of the circumstances, you increase the probability that you will have an amazing day.
When I was younger and listened to people trying to convince me that to change my life I should change my state of mind. It all sounded like mumbo jumbo to me. The interesting thing is that many things in life may not make sense to us initially. There’s a saying that states, “don’t knock it until you try it”. In other words, you can’t say something does or doesn’t work until you try it. As the hockey player Wayne Gretzky is quoted, “100 percent of the shots I don’t take don’t go in”. Now that is simple, elegant logic I can completely agree with.
Want to have an amazing day that leads to an amazing week that leads to an amazing month that leads to an amazing year that leads to an amazing life? Start by claiming that this is going to be an amazing day! In fact, say it out loud to yourself right now!
“This is going to be an amazing day!”
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
