Howdy Son,
Welcome to another groovy start of another groovy week!
Last week, I found another cool quote that I wanted to share with you:
“Blowing out someone else’s candle won’t make yours shine brighter…” – Anonymous
Isn’t that the truth? In some ways, it is similar to one of the Ten Commandments:
“Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor”
Tearing others down in an effort to build yourself up may be something that all of us have done from time to time in our periods of immaturity. Naturally, we should grow out of that phase in our lives as we mature and begin to be more and more accountable for the impact of our actions and words.
Those who seek to elevate themselves by stepping on others are simply cowards. They lack the courage to look in the mirror and face their worst enemy, themselves.
Here’s an excerpt from the book of Thessalonians in the Bible:
“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up”
That is exactly what we are supposed to do. We are to lift each other up rather than tear each other down. Just as, “Blowing out someone else’s candle won’t make yours shine brighter, lighting someone else’s candle won’t make yours shine any less”.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have a blessed, beautiful, and amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
