Happy Monday! I hope it all is well with you and that you’re having an amazing day.
Well, here we are in the holiday season. This is something that I look forward to every single year. This year, however, it is definitely going to be different.
As some of our lawmakers are trying to minimize the acceleration of the coronavirus, Thanksgiving celebrations here are limited to 10 or fewer people. Thanksgiving celebrations are typically packed with people, so this will be a huge adjustment for some.
Personally, I am comfortable with limiting my contact with as many people as possible. You would think that during a pandemic that everyone would embrace their responsibility to not only keep themselves safe, but to keep others safe as well. Unfortunately, this hasn’t been the case.
There are actually people that believe that wearing a mask during a pandemic infringes upon their freedoms. I’m still scratching my head at that one, but perhaps those are people who don’t believe that a pandemic can kill many, many people.
I don’t want to get into an, “I told you so” kind of dialogue, but if people had practiced pandemic-prescribed precautions, we would have a lot fewer people sick and dying. Not long ago, after the initial guidelines, some people relaxed and became more comfortable with not wearing masks or social distancing.
Be safe out there and avoid anyone who is even remotely careless and doesn’t take the pandemic seriously.
Well, that’s all for now!
Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Love,
Dad
