Well, here we are at the start of yet another amazing week ahead. I hope that you are prepared for it and not only that, but looking forward to it as well.
Yesterday, I found myself in troubleshooting mode on a piece of equipment. I couldn’t find very much information on the equipment in order to troubleshoot it, so basically I was winging it. The equipment was jamming and I was looking for those things which might cause the equipment to jam.
I kept investigating to find out what was causing the equipment to jam and found out that there was something that looked like balled up plastic inside of the recess of a part of this equipment. I instantly thought to myself,!, There’s the issue right there!
I decided if I could remove what looked like that ball of melted plastic to see If the machine would run as normal. The plastic was really, really tough to remove and I kept thinking to myself that no matter what the challenge is I’m going to get this plastic removed and get this machine running again. Well after much time and initial frustration I was able to remove most of the plastic.
Then came the moment of truth. I flipped the on switch and waited for the machine to do its thing. I immediately felt that something was off because the digital display was showing only two zeros rather than the three digit numbers I would typically see. Those numbers would indicate that the machine was heating up properly and justice about ready to go.
A little time passed with nothing happening after me trying to press a few of the settings buttons to make sure they were as they should be. It was at that time that I saw something I had not noticed before. What I noticed was that there was the smell of a lot of heat and after that there was actually some smoke! Needless to say, things were most definitely not working out as planned.
I have more to tell you about this and I will continue this particular troubleshooting saga in another letter.
