My Letters To My Son

Letters

Buongiorno Son

March 2, 2026 By Dad

Buongiorno Son,

Is today already a great day or what? I certainly hope that you feel the same!

OK, I imagine that many people believe that I’m the happiest man alive. I don’t know if I buy that wholeheartedly, but I have to admit that many days I am blessed with that being the case.

Have you ever wondered what the key to happiness is? I think much of that would have to do with how you define happiness. Some have heard the elderly say, “Every day above ground is a good day!.” My 80+ year-old neighbor puts it in a different way. When I ask him how are you today, he simply says, “You see me don’t you?”. I typically acknowledge that I can see him and tell him to have a great day.

Those are some examples of some people who appreciate the simple fact that they exist.

Let’s chat about this more in a future letter.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
