My Letters To My Son

Letters

Hello Son

August 19, 2024 By Dad

Hello Son,

Here we are at the start of another amazing week ahead!

Today was another workout day and things went quite smoothly. I’ve always found it interesting how some days the workout seems like a breeze and other days it seems much more difficult. Some factors I could think of might be how much sleep I’ve had, if I’ve been eating the right foods, and a host of other possibilities.

I’ve had family and friends tell me that I must love working out since I do it so consistently. Well, the truth is, that I like the results of exercising, but loving exercising, sometimes, not so much. I will openly admit that I don’t bound out of bed on workout day super anxious to exercise. In fact, some days I feel like I dread it.

Quite naturally, dreading exercising doesn’t necessarily make it any more fun, right? I suppose it this stage in the game, it has become such a habit, that I do it regardless of how I feel. That’s the beautiful thing about habits. With habits you could put parts of your life on autopilot and follow through with things that are important to you. This is good because sometimes if you give certain things too much thought, it’s very easy to get distracted and be sidetracked.

So how about you, is exercise a regular part of your life routine? I asked because it is vitally important, and I certainly hope that you will do your research about its many benefits if you haven’t done so already.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
