Happy start of the week!
I can already feel that it is going to be a great week!
You may ask why I would say that I feel like it is going to be a great week. I frame the week ahead that way because that is what I want to happen. That helps me to look forward to the week ahead.
Some may ask, “How would you feel about the week if something bad happened?” I would say that I don’t know what is going to happen in the week ahead. Nobody knows what is going to happen in the week ahead.
If something bad happens that can definitely have an effect on anyone’s week. I don’t think anyone thinks that it is a great week when a loved one gets sick or dies. Those things happen and are beyond our control. We can, however, control how we think and feel about it. Most likely we won’t feel that the week is great, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t look forward to the next week.
If we stop and analyze most of the days in our week, we have more days when nothing bad happens. That means that we each have the potential to have a great week. With that in mind doesn’t it make sense to anticipate that the week ahead will be great?
