My Letters To My Son

Dad

How Are You Today Son

December 22, 2025 By Dad

How Are You Today Son,

This already feels like it’s going to be an amazing week!

Did you do anything interesting or fun this past weekend? The most interesting thing I did this past weekend was attend church service and it was satisfying as always.

How about you? Have you attended a church service lately? I ask because the last time we spoke about God you said that you had questions.

I know that the concept of an all-knowing, all-powerful God can be a challenging concept to wrap your head around. Sometimes we see how people who call themselves “Christians” live their lives.

Seeing how some “Christians” live their lives can be pretty disappointing. What I mean by that is that looking for examples of Christian men to follow can leave you wanting. This is not to say that Christians are perfect. This is to say that there are people who claim to be Christian, but do not follow God’s commandments.

Now I’m not saying that everyone who is Christian follows God’s commandments perfectly. That is not the case. There are some “Christians in name only” who will claim to love and believe in God, but do not behave as if they do. These people are hypocrites.

I coined a phrase that speaks to this issue:

“If you believe in God then act like it!” – Your Dad

Something that is important to remember is that it is your personal relationship with God that matters, not the behavior of “Christians in name only.”

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
