Wow! If I could have a week even half as productive as last week, I would be on cloud 9! It wasn’t even that I set out to have a super productive week, it just seemed to happen.
There are a lot of things in life that seem to, “just happen”. Typically, things don’t just necessarily happen, but are the result of preparation. Below is an example:
It is said that the Chinese bamboo plant has to be watered and fertilized in the ground for five years before it emerges from the soil. After it first emerges from the soil, in as little as five weeks it will grow 90 feet!
Can you imagine doing something every day and not reaching your goal for five years? That’s exactly what life is like sometimes. We live in such an instant-gratification-focused society, that many people stop pursuing a goal if it is not achieved in a short period of time.
Believe me, I know how easy it is to give up, especially on a difficult task or a monumental goal. We must learn to be persistent and patient in our pursuit of our goals, hopes, and dreams. When we persist and persevere, then our dreams can become our reality.
