Great Morning Son,
Happy Monday to you! I really enjoy my weekends, but regardless of how much I enjoy the weekends, I’m always excited about Mondays!
When a new week starts, I feel rested and energized. I would imagine that one reason for that is that I love what I do. It has been said that if you love what you do, you will never “work” a day in your life.
While it is important to love what you do, it is also important to make sure it supports you financially. I’m not saying that money is everything, but in our society money is necessary. Money is important enough in our society that many people are not doing what they love in their careers to make, they are working for a paycheck.
Ideally, we would all like to be financially sound and love what we do for a living. Having that balance is important. Why? Well, because if you do what you love, and you don’t make enough money, you could be worried about your finances all the time. That is bound to be stressful for sure. On the other hand, making enough money and despising what we do for a living doesn’t really paint a picture of success either.
For me, the fact that my work involves research, makes my work especially rewarding for me. I thoroughly enjoy finding bits of order in an ocean of chaos.
