My Letters To My Son

Letters

Buongiorno Son

May 9, 2022 By Dad

Buongiorno Son,

Welcome to the start of a brand-new week!

How’s your weather been? It’s been unseasonably cold here, but today it’s supposed to be in the 90s!

Recently, we have been discussing dealing with unreasonable people. We reflected on a scenario where a woman who had a dinner party claimed to have prepared the dinner herself, when in reality she ordered it from a local restaurant.

The woman’s friends who were at the dinner party all met for dinner at what happened to be the same restaurant the woman ordered the dinner party food from. If you recall, after dining there, her friends began to conclude that the woman did not actually prepare the food but ordered it from the same restaurant.

If the woman’s friends decide to not discuss this deceit with her, all will progress as normal, except her friends will start to take what she says with a grain of salt. If they do confront her about the food, typically, a person in her position would get defensive. She may try to make her friends feel guilty for accusing her and questioning her integrity.
Being an unreasonable person, this woman may never admit the truth.

This woman lied and claimed that she did something that she did not do. Basically, she lied to impress her friends with what she was not, rather than be truthful with them and tell them who she truly is.

It is unfortunate that some people have such low self-esteem. It is as if they are saying to themselves, “I am not enough. I must make others think that I am someone better”.

Well, that’s all for now!

Have an amazing day and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Dad
